Annual Spring luncheon for the Elderly hosted in Beit Falasteen

On a warm balmy spring day, in celebration of the elderly mother’s  day, a gathering of retired mothers and fathers participating in the Al Najjah University’s Social Services Program and those belonging to the Red Crescent Society enjoyed the generous hospitality of Beit Falasteen.

Once again, the Munib R Masri Development Foundation (MDF) is hosting this event in appreciation of our elderly community on this day of April 5, 2014. Munib R Masri welcomed about 70 guests and expressed his happiness at hosting the event at his home, perched up high above Nablus on the blessed mountain of Jerzim.

Raja’ Bawab, the coordinator of the Social Services Program, thanked Mr Masri for his warm welcome and fatherly hospitality in continuing this traditional luncheon for the Elderly. The day continued with storytelling, mind game and exercises led by the volunteers, Rowdat al-Baseer, Taher Bakeer and May Tamimi.  Everybody enjoyed lunch and desert on the terrace overlooking their beloved city of Nablus.
